Kids Sarangpur Blueprint

Description

Sarangpur has always been my place — so when I kept imagining what the original plans for it might have looked like, I decided to draw them myself. Project: Sarangpur, May 1916, Mandir No. 02, rendered as if from Shastriji Maharaj's own hand. The plans, the elevations, the shikharbaddha mandir that still stands 108 feet tall — and worked into the drawing, the four mahāvākyas Shastriji Maharaj gave us, so the upāsanā he stood for sits right alongside the stone. This is the second mandir he ever built, raised in a time of real hardship and opposition, with little more than conviction and the labor of those who believed in him. For me it's a reminder of everything he went through, and the effort it took to build something that great. To wear it is to carry a little of that resolve with you.
